What’s happening at Woodward Chrisp
We're incredibly proud of our own Jasmine Donovan-Monteith and her dance partner Josh Talaese, who not only lit up the stage at this year's Dancing for Life Education, but were also crowned the 2026 champions!
After weeks of rehearsals, hard work and stepping well outside their comfort zones, Jasmine and Josh delivered an outstanding hip-hop and Polynesian-infused performance in front of a packed War Memorial Theatre.
Sponsored by Woodward Chrisp in partnership with Smash Palace Bar Gisborne, Jazz and Josh did themselves and our wider community proud, demonstrating energy, courage and plenty of smiles.
The event raises vital funds for Life Education Trust – Gisborne, East Coast and Wairoa, helping ensure local children continue to receive engaging health and wellbeing education through the iconic Harold the Giraffe programme. It's a cause that has made a real difference in our region for many years, and one that Woodward Chrisp has proudly supported through sponsorship, fundraising and the involvement of our people.
Congratulations to Jasmine and Josh on a well-deserved win, and thank you to the organisers, volunteers, sponsors, supporters and all nine dance couples who gave so generously of their time and talents to make the evening such a success.
Jasmine and Josh, we're incredibly proud of you both. Congratulations on an amazing achievement and thank you for helping to support such an important cause in our community.
