Background
Yalda graduated from the University of Waikato with a conjoint degree - Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business, majoring in Finance. She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2024 and began her legal career at a law firm in Hamilton, focusing on family law. Yalda has since taken the next step by relocating to Gisborne from Hamilton to join our Employment and Civil Litigation team at Woodward Chrisp. Yalda is passionate about helping people and is committed to ensuring clients feel informed, supported, and comfortable throughout the legal process.
Interests
Outside of work, Yalda enjoys staying active with gym sessions, yoga, short runs, hiking, and exploring classes such as martial arts and boxing. She also loves spending quality time with family, experimenting new recipes, and unwinding by connecting with nature and singing her heart out.
