Background
Tahu was born and raised in Gisborne, with whakapapa connections to Ngāti Porou and Rongowhakaata. He completed a conjoint LLB and BA majoring in Māori Resource Management at Te Herenga Waka, Victoria University of Wellington. He is set to be admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Auckland High Court in May 2026.
Tahu has joined the Commercial and Property Law team at Woodward Chrisp, keen to develop his expertise across all commercial and property matters and use these skills to serve his community.
Interests
Outside of mahi, Tahu enjoys spending time with his whānau and friends. He’s a big fan of sports, particularly rugby, league, and basketball. Now that he’s back in Gisborne, he’s looking forward to making the most of everything the East Coast has to offer.
