Background
Eric pursued a conjoint BCom/LLB degree at the University of Auckland, majoring in Economics and Information Systems. Drawn to the commercial components of his studies, he began working in business analytics and software development, which only reaffirmed his interest and passion for law. After a year in that profession, he decided to pursue a legal career. Following completion of his Professional Legal Studies, Eric joined the Commercial and Property Law team at Woodward Chrisp in 2025 and was admitted to the bar in September the same year.
Throughout his degree, Eric was actively involved in various university, community, and charity groups, including three years volunteering with his local Citizens Advice Bureau.
Interests
Eric’s legal interests include Contract, Commercial, and Property Law. Outside of work, he can often be found skating, spending time with his four-legged best friend, and keeping his Duolingo streak alive. He is also an avid reader of philosophy and a keen follower of freestyle chess.
