Woodward Chrisp recently entered a team in the Ekiden Marathon Relay in Rotorua.  The team members were  Ross Revington, Adam Simperingham, Emily Bruce, Ann-Jolena Baker, Nicks Pittar and Michael Gordon.  A great weekend was had by all and it was a good team building experience.  There were a few sore bodies but nothing a soak in the heated pools didn't fix.

Team Woodward Chrisp finished 84th out of 181 team finishers with a time of 4 hours, 05 minutes, 32 seconds.

The HI-TEC Rotorua Ekiden Relay is run around the roads encircling beautiful Lake Rotorua in October . An internationally recognised event, the Ekiden relay is run over the marathon distance of 42.2km and consists of teams of six competitors who wear a traditional Japanese tasuki sash instead of carrying a baton. Clubs, companies/businesses, social groups or schools can enter teams for the 10th HI-TEC Rotorua Ekiden Relay. The shortest leg of the relay is 5km and the longest 10km.
